Home Education Marking Subscription

Shannon here - owner of Susie's Stuff. I'm currently home educating my daughter, but I am also a fully qualified and experienced teacher.

When you home educate, your child's education is your responsbility. But that doesn't mean you can't get a little help.

You might want someone else to look over your child's work if:

- You are new to home education and need some guidance about what to look for

- Your child is getting older and their work is more complex

- You're home educating alone and want a second pair of eyes

- Your kid wants some feedback from someone who isn't you (I'm a dad - I get it!)

How does it work?

For a subscription fee of $14.95 a month, you can send up to 5 pieces of your child's work (or that of a sibling, family friend or anyone else!) via email to receive feedback.

I'll email you the feedback within 3 business days, so the activity is still fresh in your minds.

All work will be marked by me and will not be put into any other software or AI. If, for some reason, I cannot mark it, I'll let you know and give you the option for it to be marked by another teacher I personally know (anonymised and at no extra cost) or for it to not count towards that month's five pieces of work.

If I haven't heard from you in two months I'll check in to make sure you still need a subscription. If I don't hear back after a month, I'll go ahead and cancel the subscription so you're not paying for something you're not using. You can resubscribe at any time with no penalty or extra cost.

What sort of feedback will I provide?

You can see a few examples here (using work samples from the Victorian Education Department). If there is a specific question you have or area you'd like me to focus on, please let me know in your email. Otherwise, I will focus on a few general areas of feedback with specific examples from the piece of work. I will provide both positive feedback and constructive crtiticism unless otherwise advised.
